  1. This is a wonderful project tapping the wellprings of childhood creativity and channelling it in novel ways into a new way of thinking about the built environment. How much do we really think about the child's view of the spaces they spend their lives in? There seems so much to learn from interacting with children in this way. Playworks is firmly based on two way communication with children and has come up with some highly original approaches to capturing the views of children e.g. on gay little feedback labels. this is something that should have wider application in child focussed services. It would be very interesting to know more about how the families, both children and patents reacted to the whole concept. the graphics in the blog are sizzling and one can imagine the fun kids have throwing together their very own constructions. Erin Byrne has made a very original contribution to a vital area of work with children and families an early stage in her career. Playworks may help morph the skylines of future cities into much friendlier places. There are sure to be more exciting developments like this from Erin’s portfolio.
